性功能障礙讓男人難以啟齒,甚至影響和另一半的感情。泌尿科醫師程威銘指出,運動對
性功能障礙非常有幫助,甚至有病患只靠運動就不藥而癒;他引述2004年《美國醫學會內
科學期刊》(JAMA Internal Medicine)研究,運動有助降低身體發炎反應,進而改善勃
起功能,甚至有高達1/3病人的勃起功能恢復到正常範圍內。
程威銘在臉書發文分享案例,一名45歲林姓男子1、2年前因性功能障礙前往看診,檢查沒
有明顯異狀,除了開壯陽藥之外,也鼓勵他多運動;林男真的有把醫師的話聽進去,持續
保持運動習慣,半年後發現自己不用吃壯陽藥,也能夠維持足夠的勃起、完成性行為。
程威銘指出,林男每天固定跑步10公里,周末會參加半程或全程馬拉松,「平均一個月就
跑了快200公里的距離」;他提醒,如果想要藉由運動來達到維持或改善性功能,運動必
須「重質又重量」,而且要維持半年以上才會有顯著效果。
有些病患擔心長期服用壯陽藥產生抗藥性,對此,程威銘直言「那個不叫抗藥性,而是沒
有配合運動,身體越來越差,導致原本相同劑量的壯陽藥沒有辦法達到一樣的效果,只好
劑量加大。」
程威銘指出,2010年《性醫學雜誌》(The Journal of Sexual Medicine)一篇臨床試驗
,結果證實運動加上壯陽藥的使用,比單純服用壯陽藥更能夠維持正常的勃起,呼籲男性
「想要維持性功能,真的不能偷懶。」
